School Custodian Killed in Car Accident at Hackensack High School
Police are looking into a tragic car crash that resulted in the death of a Hackensack high school custodian.
The fatal accident involved a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria and happened during the early morning hours in the parking lot of Hackensack High School. The victim, who was either driving the car or sitting in the passenger seat, was reportedly on his way to school because he worked as a custodian.
The motor vehicle reportedly left the roadway, entered the school parking lot, and slammed into five other cars that were parked in the lot.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, died due to injuries sustained in the crash. Another person inside the car was rushed to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson and treated for serious injuries.
Detectives with the Hackensack Police Department are investigating the fatal auto accident.
Depending on what investigators find, it is possible that police could issue traffic citations in connection with the accident.
