Englewood NJ Man Allegedly Stalked Ex Before Killing Her
A man who allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend in Englewood New Jersey also allegedly stalked her prior to the murder, according to authorities.
The suspect is a 40-year-old man who allegedly became enraged after he and the victim, a 31-year-old Englewood NJ woman, broke up. According to law enforcement, the suspect stalked the victim for approximately two weeks before finally killing her.
The victim reportedly contacted police sometime before she was killed and said that the suspect had been stalking her and causing her emotional distress. Authorities have not yet indicated whether the victim sought, or obtained, a restraining order against the suspect.
Police confirmed that the victim’s body was found in the Hudson River, near New York City. Law enforcement officials said that the victim’s body had been dismembered prior to being dumped in the river.
Detectives eventually identified the suspect as the possible killer and subsequently arrested him. He has been charged with numerous crimes, including first degree murder, desecration of human remains, hindering apprehension, stalking, and domestic violence.
