Nurse Accused of Sexually Assaulting Mentally Incapacitated Victim in Wyckoff, NJ

Wyckoff NJ Sexual Assault SuspectA registered nurse was arrested and charged with the sexual assault of a mentally incapacitated and physically helpless victim in Wyckoff, New Jersey.

The suspect, a 51-year-old resident of Maywood, NJ, is employed as a registered nurse in Bergen County, NJ. It is unclear at this time if the suspect was hired to provide nursing services to the victim.

According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect sexually assaulted the mentally incapacitated victim at least once in Wyckoff, New Jersey.

The suspect now faces criminal charges for aggravated sexual assault, a sex offense that could lead to severe penalties if the suspect is convicted in Bergen County Superior Court. A conviction for aggravated sexual assault could result in the suspect being sentenced to a lengthy term of incarceration in NJ State Prison.

Beyond that, a conviction on the very serious aggravated sexual assault charges could mean that the suspect has to register as a convicted sex offender under Megan’s Law after he completes any prison sentence.
