Paterson NJ Police Arrest Lodi Man Who Allegedly Committed Armed Robbery

Lodi NJ Robbery AttorneysPolice in Paterson NJ recently apprehended two individuals who have been accused of committing an armed robbery on a city street.

The armed robbery reportedly went down around 2:00 a.m. According to Paterson authorities, the suspects robbed three victims in the area of 4th Avenue and East 17th Street in Paterson, New Jersey.

The main suspect allegedly walked toward the victims and demanded that they get down on the ground. He then allegedly grabbed their cell phones.

Two of the theft victims are from Paterson New Jersey, while the third victim is from Hawthorne NJ.

After the theft, one of the victims ran down the street and managed to find to a Paterson NJ patrol cop.

The victim led the police officer to the site of robbery scene, where the officer reportedly observed the two suspects leaving the area. The Paterson officer called in the theft and provided other officers with descriptions of the suspects.

It wasn’t long before a couple of Paterson NJ patrol officers spotted the suspects heading into backyards on East 16th Street. Police were able to arrest one of the suspects; however, the other suspect managed to evade police and got away.

When Paterson police searched the main suspect, they allegedly discovered him with a semi-automatic Glock .35 handgun. Police officers also allegedly found the suspect with glassine packets of heroin.

The main suspect in the armed robbery is a 38-year-old male who lives in Lodi, New Jersey. After being arrested, the suspect was charged with several criminal offenses, including three counts of robbery and weapons offenses for unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

The other armed robbery suspect remains at large.
