Man Accused of Sexually Abusing Young Girl in Hackensack NJ Two Decades Ago

Hackensack NJ Sexual Assault SuspectA Tennessee man was extradited to Hackensack New Jersey after a victim came forward and accused him of committing numerous sexual assaults starting two decades ago.

According to NJ authorities, the suspect began to commit the sexual abuse of the victim when she was seven years old.

The victim is now 27 years of age. She recently came forward with the allegations and told investigators with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit that the suspect committed the sexual abuse when she was between the ages of 7 and 14. Investigators believe that the sexual assaults took place in Hackensack, New Jersey.

The suspect recently turned 62 years of age. He was arrested by law enforcement while visiting his family in Connecticut.

The suspect was subsequently charged with several sex offenses, including aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault.

The suspect was initially detained in Connecticut. He later waived extradition and was taken to New Jersey.

After being moved to NJ, the suspect was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey. He was being held at the jail in lieu of $300,000 bail.
