Doctor Accused of Sexually Assaulting Patient, Employees at Medical Practice in Bergenfield, New Jersey

Bergenfield NJ Sexual Assault SuspectPolice recently arrested a doctor who is accused of committing sexual assaults against former workers and one patient at a medical practice in Bergenfield, New Jersey.

Authorities first heard about the alleged sex crimes when an employee came forward and told police that the suspect sexually assaulted her. According to the victim, the suspect touched her breast and bit her on the cheek at some point while she was working with him at the office.

After getting word of the allegations, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Bergenfield Police Department conducted a joint investigation and spoke with several people associated with the Bergenfield medical practice.

During the course of the investigation, investigators spoke with three more individuals who claimed that they were victims of the suspect’s sex crimes at the office. Among the victims are several employees and one patient.

The suspect is an experienced doctor specializing in general practice and internal medicine.

After investigators got enough evidence, the suspect was placed under arrest. He was subsequently charged with criminal sexual contact, in addition to simple assault and harassment.

After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspect was transported to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey. He was being held at the correctional facility in lieu of $20,000 bail.

If and when the suspect posts bail and secures his release from police custody, he will be prohibited from having any contact with the alleged victims. The suspect will also be required to surrender his passport to authorities.
