Woman Allegedly Stabbed Man While Arguing at Ridgefield Park NJ Home

Ridgefield Park Aggravated Assault AttorneysRidgefield Park NJ police arrested a Paterson New Jersey woman who allegedly used a kitchen knife to stab a man during a violent domestic dispute.

According to Ridgefield Park police, the 22-year-old suspect was involved in a verbal argument with the 33-year-old victim at a home located on Maple Street. The dispute mostly involved loud shouting and occasional screaming before became physical and took a violent turn.

At some point during the shouting match, the suspect allegedly went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and stabbed the victim in his arm.

Shortly after the stabbing, the suspect reportedly left the residence and slashed tires on the victim’s motor vehicle. The suspect then allegedly ran away from the scene.

The Ridgefield Park Police Department received a call about the domestic dispute and dispatched officers to the residence. When police officers got to the home, they discovered the victim inside the house; he was suffering from a deep cut on his upper arm.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors treated him for his injuries.

While the victim was being taken care of, Ridgefield Park NJ police, Bogota police, and members of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department worked together to canvass the area and search for the suspect. Police eventually found her in sitting in a parking lot located a short distance from the residence where the attack allegedly took place.

The suspect was placed under arrest by police officers. She was subsequently charged with numerous criminal offenses, including aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

After being arrested and charged, the suspect was taken to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey. She is being housed at the correctional facility on a $75,000 bail amount.
