Lodi NJ Police Looking into Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Lodi NJ Motorcycle Accident LawyersPolice are investigating a deadly motorcycle accident in Lodi, New Jersey.

According to officials, the suspect was behind the wheel of a Toyota Corolla and traveling southbound on Memorial Drive in Lodi NJ when they crashed into the victim’s Honda CBR motorcycle.

Witnesses later spoke with police and said that the suspect hit the victim while the suspect was trying to turn east onto Washington Street.

The 25-year-old victim, a Lodi NJ resident, was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center to be treated for his injuries. Tragically, doctors at the hospital were not able to save the victim; he was pronounced dead at the medical facility.

Authorities later said that the victim was wearing protective gear, including a helmet, when the accident occurred.

The Lodi Police Department is currently investigating the motorcycle crash. Investigators have not yet released a description of the driver who allegedly caused the deadly accident. Moreover, police have yet to indicate whether the suspect was committing a traffic offense such as speeding or running a red light in advance of the accident.

If the suspect does eventually face criminal charges for vehicular homicide or manslaughter, he would be subject to severe penalties.
