Upper Saddle River Police Conduct Drug Bust at Home, Make Several Arrests

Upper Saddle River Marijuana SuspectA major investigation by Bergen County authorities into drug activity resulted in the arrests of five people.

The joint investigation, which lasted three months, was conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force and the Upper Saddle River Police Department.

Two of the individuals arrested by police are a father and son. According to police, the 19-year-old son sold marijuana, LSD, and narcotic mushrooms out of his residence on Pleasant Avenue in Upper Saddle River, NJ.

When police executed a search warrant at the home, they allegedly discovered marijuana, LSD, and mushrooms valued at roughly $2,000. Police also allegedly discovered drug scales and other drug paraphernalia at the residence.

Since some of the drugs were allegedly found in the 52-year-old father’s personal bathroom, he was also charged with drug offenses. Although the father was not at the residence when police conducted the search, he later turned himself in.

The son was charged with several drug crimes, including possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute LSD, and possession with intent to distribute psilocybin mushrooms. The father was charged with less serious offenses for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

After being placed under arrest, the son was taken to the Bergen County Jail. He is being held at the jail on a $100,000 bail amount. Meanwhile, the father was released from custody with a court date.

Authorities also arrested three other individuals in connection with the drug bust. While police conducted surveillance of the suspects’ house, they allegedly observed two Allendale NJ residents purchase drugs and then leave in a car.

Police officers stopped the vehicle and allegedly found marijuana. Additionally, the officers believed that the two suspects were exhibiting signs of being under the influence of marijuana. Both suspects were placed under arrest and charged with simple possession of marijuana.

Police also arrested a juvenile suspect who lives in New York. It is believed that the juvenile supplied drugs to the main suspect in the case. When police arrested the juvenile suspect, they allegedly discovered two pounds of marijuana in his possession.

After being placed under arrest, the juvenile suspect was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. He was later released to the custody of a parent.
