Brother of Garden State Plaza Shooter Allegedly Caught with Heroin in Elmwood Park, New Jersey

Elmwood Park Heroin AttorneysPolice in Elmwood Park NJ arrested the brother of the man who shot up the Garden State Plaza mall in Paramus, New Jersey.

The suspect, a 24-year-old from Teaneck NJ, was arrested on drug charges.

According to police, the suspect was with another person in the area of East 54th Street near Broadway. The police officers allegedly observed the two people conducting a drug deal.

The police officer walked up to the suspects and began to investigate the situation. Once the officer reportedly confirmed that the suspects had 20 bags of heroin in their possession, he placed both suspects under arrest.

Prosecutors revealed that the other suspect in the case is a 20-year-old woman who lives in Paramus, New Jersey.

After being placed under arrest, the suspects were charged with heroin possession.

The suspects were later released from police custody on their own recognizance. They will be required to answer the charges against them in court at a later date.

Authorities said that the male suspect in the case was the brother of the 20-year-old individual who shot up the Garden State Plaza in November 2013. Shortly after the shooting, the suspect found a disturbing note written by his brother; he then drove to the mall and contacted police.
