Bergen County Man Allegedly Stole Baby Formula from New York CVS
Police officers recently captured a Bergen County man who was allegedly one of three people who stole baby formula from a New York CVS.
The suspects have been accused of committing the theft at a CVS in Montebello, NY. Not long after the alleged theft crime, local patrol officers saw a car that was allegedly driving erratically and endangering other motorists on the road. Police conducted a traffic stop and talked to the driver. While speaking with the driver, the cops reportedly noticed that the car contained a CVS shopping cart and several canisters of baby formula.
Two of the suspects, the vehicle driver and the vehicle passenger, were then placed under arrest and charged with possession of stolen property.
The two suspects who were apprehended are residents of Rutherford and West Milford, NJ. A third suspect remained at large until now. Police eventually located him in Suffern, New York after a police officer’s license plate reader picked up the suspect’s car. The Suffern NY cop ran a check on the car and discovered that it was registered to the suspect in the CVS theft. The police officer then stopped the suspect’s car and arrested the suspect.
