Substitute Teacher Arrested in Elmwood Park, Accused of Sharing Child Porn

Elmwood Park NJ Child Pornography SuspectLaw enforcement arrested an Elmwood Park man who allegedly went online and distributing videos and images of child pornography.

The suspect, a 24-year-old man who lives in Elmwood Park NJ, is reportedly employed as a substitute teacher at an unidentified school in Bergen County.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that the suspect was distributing child pornography, so detectives began an investigation and eventually secured a search warrant for the suspect’s Elmwood Park home. Detectives with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes Unit executed the search warrant and seized the suspect’s computer.

Detectives searched the suspect’s personal computer and allegedly discovered evidence that the suspect used the Internet to obtain multiple videos, as well as images, that featured underage girls engaged in illicit sexual acts. Some of the videos reportedly showed prepubescent girls.

In addition to allegedly possessing the child pornography, the suspect also allegedly went on the Internet and shared the illegal pornographic images with other people.

After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspect was moved to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ. He was being held there in lieu of $75,000 bail.
