Suspect Allegedly Stole Backpack from Storage Room at Fairview NJ Restaurant

Fairview NJ Burglary AttorneysPolice recently nabbed a North Bergen man accused of stealing a backpack that belonged to a worker at a Fairview NJ restaurant.

The suspect allegedly committed the theft crime two weeks ago, but police officers only recently arrested him. According to authorities, the suspect illegally entered the storage room at El Trancazo restaurant. The popular restaurant is located on Fairview Avenue in Fairview, New Jersey. Once the suspect gained access to the stock room, he reportedly took a backpack with money, a cell phone, and Beats headphones. According to officials, the suspect also stole other valuables from the stock room.

Detectives with the Fairview Police Department investigated the theft incident and later worked with the West New York Police Department to locate and arrest the suspect.

The suspect, a 24-year-old resident of North Bergen, NJ, faces criminal charges for burglary and theft of movable property. If he is convicted of burglary, he would be in store for significant criminal penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:18-2, burglary is a third degree criminal offense. A conviction on burglary charges could lead to a sentence of 3-5 years in NJ State Prison.

After being arrested and processed, the suspect was moved to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ. He was being held at the jail on a $50K bail amount.
