Two Men Allegedly Stole Cooking Oil from Ramsey NJ Business, Arrested in Rochelle Park

Police in Rochelle Park NJ arrested two people accused of stealing 500 gallons of cooking oil from a Ramsey NJ business.

According to law enforcement officials, the suspects went to a business in Ramsey New Jersey and stole the large quantity of cooking oil. The suspects were in the process of transporting the stolen cooking oil in their motor vehicle when a couple of Rochelle Park police officers saw them commit a moving violation on Route 17. The Rochelle Park cops initiated a traffic stop and saw that the suspects were covered in grease.

The suspects, a 27-year-old male and a 21-year-old male, face criminal charges for receiving stolen property. The suspects, who are from Yonkers NY, could also face criminal charges for the theft from the Ramsey business.

The 27-year-old suspect has already been charged with simple possession of marijuana because arresting officers reportedly found him in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
