Fort Lee NJ Police Arrest Acupuncturist Who Allegedly Molested Client

Sexual Molestation Charges in Fort Lee NJA man from Englewood Cliffs NJ has been accused of sexually molesting one of his clients at a Fort Lee NJ acupuncture office.

The suspect, a 70-year-old man who lives in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, is the owner and operator of Fort Lee Acupuncture and Physical Therapy. The business provides acupuncture services to clients, but it is believed by authorities that the practice, which is located on Whiteman Road in Fort Lee NJ, is unlicensed.

According to Bergen County prosecutors, the suspect molested a woman who came to the Fort Lee business for an acupuncture procedure. The victim claimed that the suspect “inappropriately touched her” while she underwent the procedure.

The victim notified the Fort Lee Police Department, which then joined forces with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit to investigate the suspect. Investigators soon determined that there was enough evidence to place the suspect under arrest and charge him with criminal sexual contact.

If the suspect is convicted on the sex crime charges, he faces severe penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3, anyone who commits an act of sexual contact with a person while using physical force or coercion can be charged with a fourth degree criminal offense. A conviction for fourth degree criminal sexual contact could result in a sentence of 3-5 years in NJ State Prison.

After being arrested and charged in the case, the suspect was taken to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ. The suspect was being held there in lieu of a $10,000 bail amount.
