Police Arrest Rutgers Student from Paramus NJ Who Was Allegedly Involved in Violent Fight

Paramus NJ Attempted Murder LawyersTwo men, one from Paramus man and the other from Hillsdale, recently placed under arrest in connection with an attempted murder in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

The violent altercation occurred around 2:00 a.m. According to officials, New Brunswick police got a report of a fight outside the Old Bay Restaurant located at Church Street and Neilson Street in downtown New Brunswick NJ. Law enforcement believes that the suspects may have been drunk at the time of the fight.

When police officers got to the restaurant, they encountered the two suspects. According to police, the suspects were involved in a violent physical altercation. The suspects were quickly placed under arrest.

One of the victims is a 31-year-old man who lives in New Brunswick, NJ. He was stabbed several times in the head and neck. Emergency medical responders rushed him to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he received urgent medical treatment for his injuries. Authorities later said that the victim had been listed in stable condition.

The other victim is a 24-year-old male who resides in Spotswood NJ. He is said to have sustained minor injuries during the brutal fight.

The Paramus suspect faces criminal charges for attempted murder and weapons offenses, while the Hillsdale suspect faces criminal charges for aggravated assault. Both suspects are currently students at Rutgers University.

If the Paramus suspect is ultimately convicted on the most serious charges of attempted murder, he would be in store for significant penalties. A conviction for first degree attempted murder could result in a life sentence in NJ State Prison.
