Man Allegedly Murdered His Wife in Their North Arlington NJ Apartment

Homicide Suspect in North Arlington NJNorth Arlington NJ police have arrested a local resident who allegedly killed his wife in the borough’s first homicide in almost 25 years.

According to North Arlington law enforcement, the 45-year-old North Arlington man murdered his 47-year-old wife at their apartment in 28K Garden Terrace in the Riverview Garden Apartments, which located in the area of Ridge Road in North Arlington, New Jersey.

North Arlington police officers were sent to the building after management asked police to conduct a welfare check on the victim. The apartment complex employees dialed 911 around 12:15 p.m.

When North Arlington police officers showed up at the apartment, they came across the victim’s body. According to authorities, the victim had been dead for at least a day by the time police found her body.

The suspect was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with numerous crimes, including first degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon.

The North Arlington Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office are actively investigating the homicide, which is being referred to as a domestic violence homicide.

After being placed under arrest and charged with murder, the suspect was taken to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ. He was being held at the jail in lieu of $2 million bail.
