Wyckoff NJ Police Arrest Two for Shoplifting, Possession of Cocaine

Police in Wyckoff New Jersey captured two individuals accused of drug possession and shoplifting after they were reportedly found locked out of their vehicle.

According to Wyckoff NJ officials, the Wyckoff Police Department received word from a CVS worker around 10:30 p.m. that two people were inside the store and acting suspiciously.

When a pair of Wyckoff police officers got to the CVS store, located on Franklin Avenue in Wyckoff, New Jersey, they found the suspects in the process of using a coat hanger to try to get inside a vehicle parked in the CVS parking lot.

Police officers spoke with the suspects, who allegedly offered inconsistent statements about why they were locked out of the car.

Police later conducted a search of the suspects and reportedly found one of them in possession of a cocaine pipe. Additionally, she allegedly had a used syringe and other paraphernalia typically associated with heroin.

The 27-year-old woman, who lives in Garfield NJ, was placed under arrest and charged with several drug crimes, including cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Meanwhile, the other suspect, a 27-year-old male who resides in Prospect Park, NJ, was arrested and charged with shoplifting because police allegedly caught him with a laser pointer reported stolen from the CVS store.

Wyckoff officials also stated that the suspects were wanted on outstanding arrest warrants out of other municipalities in Bergen County, NJ.
