Police Arrest Man Who Allegedly Committed Burglary in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey
Police in Ridgefield Park NJ recently arrested a local man accused of burglarizing a construction yard.
According to the Ridgefield Park Police Department, the suspect managed to gain entry into a closed, fenced-in construction yard that is located on Industrial Avenue in Ridgefield Park.
Site workers reported seeing a suspicious individual walking around the yard. The employees contacted local police, which dispatched officers to the scene.
When Ridgefield Park police officers showed up, they noticed the suspect exiting the yard and running in the direction of the Hackensack River. Police quickly established a perimeter and were able to locate the suspect hiding under a construction trailer.
Police ran a check on the 43-year-old suspect and learned that he had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was subsequently arrested and charged with several crimes, including burglary, possession of burglary tools, trespassing, and resisting arrest. Additionally, the suspect faces charges for possession of a hypodermic needle because police reportedly found him in possession of illegal drug paraphernalia.
After being arrested and charged, the suspect was taken to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey. He was being held at the correctional facility in lieu of $20,000 bail.
