Man Charged with Sexual Assault in Englewood, New Jersey

Englewood New Jersey Sexual Assault SuspectPolice in Englewood NJ recently arrested a homeless man accused of committing a sexual assault.

Authorities got an emergency call not long after 3:00 a.m. The caller told police that she was the victim of an assault.

When police officers showed up at the scene, they found the victim and saw that she had suffered an “obvious injury.”

The victim was taken to Englewood Hospital, where she got medical treatment for her physical injuries.

Once the victim arrived at the hospital, she spoke with doctors and reportedly said that she was the victim of a sexual assault. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit then dispatched detectives to the hospital.

The detectives spoke with the victim, who allegedly identified the 27-year-old suspect as the man who assaulted her. Investigators later said that the suspect and the victim knew each other.

The suspect was charged with aggravated sexual assault. The suspect was also charged with aggravated assault.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was taken to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey. He was being held at the correctional facility on $101,000 bail.
