Wayne New Jersey Traffic Stop Leads to Arrests for Heroin Possession

Wayne New Jersey Heroin Possession SuspectPolice in Wayne New Jersey recently arrested three men accused of being in possession of large quantities of heroin.

Wayne NJ police made the arrests during separate traffic stops for traffic violations. Police made the first arrest after a Wayne NJ patrol officer reportedly observed a 2001 Jeep Cherokee on the road with a cracked windshield. The officer pulled behind the vehicle and then eventually stopped the driver for equipment violations.

The driver of the car stopped in a Quick Check parking lot located at the intersection of Hamburg Turnpike and Pompton Road in Wayne, NJ. The police officer spoke with the driver and allegedly observed the passenger “acting suspiciously.” The passenger reportedly kept moving around in his seat while trying to hide items in his pants.

Wayne NJ police later conducted a search of the vehicle and allegedly found 30 bags of heroin in the car. The bags of heroin had reportedly been stamped with labels like “Last Hit” and “Dirty Jerz.”

The 23-year-old passenger, who is from Wayne New Jersey, was placed under arrest at the scene and charged with possession of heroin. The driver of the car received a citation for driving a car with equipment violations.

That same week, a Wayne NJ detective busted another person for heroin possession. The detective reportedly observed suspicious activity in a parking lot located on Route 23 North in Wayne, NJ. When the detective approached the car, he allegedly saw the driver holding an uncapped needle. Remarkably, the driver also allegedly had used glassine bags of heroin on his lap.

Later, after backup arrived at the scene, another Wayne police officer reportedly saw a passenger in the backseat with glassine bags of heroin on his lap.

Police eventually searched the car and allegedly discovered 37 bags of heroin. The bags had been stamped with the label “The Finals.”

The 28-year-old driver, who is from Montague NJ, and the 27-year-old passenger, who lives in Port Jervis, were both placed under arrest and charged with heroin possession, drug paraphernalia possession, and possession of a syringe.
