Saddle Brook New Jersey Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting 9-Year-Old Girl

Sexual Assault Suspect in Saddle Brook NJPolice arrested a Saddle Brook New Jersey man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 9-year-old girl.

Authorities opened an investigation after the girl spoke up about the allegations.

According to prosecutor, the girl first spoke up about the alleged illegal sexual acts after a coordinator with the New Jersey Child Abuse Prevention Program visited her school. The girl talked to the coordinator and described the alleged sexual activity.

The coordinator listened to the victim’s story and then reached out to the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency. The agency then contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, which pursued an investigation.

Detectives with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit began their investigation by conducting an interview of the girl. During the interview, the victim reportedly provided investigators with specific details about the alleged sexual activity with the 38-year-old suspect.

Sometime later, authorities arrested the suspect. He was charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.

After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspect was taken to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ. He is currently being held at the correctional facility on a $300,000 bail amount, with no 10-percent cash option.

If the suspect is eventually able to secure his release by posting bail, he will be required to avoid any contact with the victim.
