Police Search for Clues in Shooting at Ridgewood NJ Church

Ridgewood NJ Church ShootingRidgewood NJ police are searching for suspects after a local church was reportedly hit by heavy gunfire.

According to police, the Old Paramus Reformed Church in Ridgewood was hit by more than 30 gunshots. The shooting of the church, which was built in 1800, reportedly occurred on the day after Christmas.

The good news is that the church was unoccupied at the time of the shooting. Unfortunately, the bullets caused severe damage to the structure.

The Ridgewood Police Department and the Bergen County Crime Scene Investigation Unit searched for clues in the aftermath of the shooting. At this time, they have been unable to identify any suspects.

The investigation into the case remains active and ongoing. If a suspect is eventually identified, they could face serious criminal charges for aggravated assault and criminal mischief.

The Ridgewood Detective Bureau has asked that anyone with information about the shooting please get in touch with investigators.
